If you are a male aged 60 years or over and a member of one of our affiliated golf clubs namely Royal Dornoch, Fortrose & Rosemarkie, Muir of Ord, Brora, Invergordon, Tarbat, Alness, Strathpeffer, Tain, Golspie, Ullapool and Bonar Bridge, then you are automatically entitled to join the Ross & Sutherland Seniors Golf Society.

As a society we play a stableford round of golf at each of our affiliated clubs, eleven in total, of which two are mixed competitions. We do not play for any financial remuneration more for the enjoyment of meeting fellow members, visiting our fellow Highland golf courses and just as important giving to worthy charitable causes at the end of each year. The latter is something that we as a society are very proud of having given to date approximately £35,000 to worthy causes predominantly in the Highlands.

The current fees are a one off £10 joining fee thereafter a £5 annual membership. When we play at one of our affiliated golf clubs it costs £18.00 for a round of golf of which £15 goes to the local club (green fee) and £3 goes to Charity with a very minor amount going towards administration costs. Each year we as a society disperse, through our captain, between £1,000 and £2,500 to charitable causes.

At the present time the Society has 153 members.
